Which title works best for you?

The book is about difficult professional conversations, and the key message is, « First of all, get to calm ».

The troll represents the sum of the uncomfortable emotions of everyone involved in the conversation, including me.

I believe that it’s extremely important to put operational objectives completely aside while « the troll is in the room » and, unlike other work on the difficult conversation subject, my focus is 100% on restoring calm. Once this is achieved, operational matters can be dealt with through normal, professional dialogue.

I deal with synchronous encounters (in-person, telephone, video meetings) and asynchronous ones (email, chat, social media).

Furthermore, though professional conversations take center stage, informal and family situations are also considered. After all, there is always some continuity between multiple aspects of our lives.
