How It Works
Choose a scenario and click on one of the three options: (A) a role play, (B) analysis of a completed scenario, (C) an email conversation. This action causes instructions for your AI assistant to be copied.
Paste them into, for example, ChatGPT or Claude.
ROLE PLAY: The AI assistant takes one role in a Difficult Conversation, and you take the other, replying as you would in a human-human conversation.
COMPLETED SCENARIO: The AI assistant writes a complete Difficult Conversation script, as though it were a film scene. It does not follow Candid And Calming Communication (CACC) guidelines – it’s up to you to review the script and decide how it could be improved.
EMAIL: This works in a similar way to a role play, except that the simulated exchange is by email. Note also that the CACC guidelines for asynchronous (e.g. email) are slightly different to synchrounous ones, where responses are immediate.
When experimenting, use natural language to guide your AI assistant. For example, you might tell it, “go back a step”, or “redo the script from step 4, but make Fred angrier”.
At the end of the exercise, you can analyse it and learn using the QUESTIONS, FEEDBACK and SUGGESTIONS buttons.
